Orange Beach, Alabama will be getting its own Margaritaville Resort, but don’t expect it to open anytime soon, as its projected completion date is set for Spring of 2029.
The popular chain of award-winning luxury resorts has locations scattered throughout the Gulf Coast region. The sizeable 70-acre Orange Beach site will be unique in that it will feature the Waterfront District offering food and beverage destinations, activities for guests of all ages, resort retail, a group meeting space, and transient boat parking.
A press release from The Wharf described some of the activities available for those staying at the resort.
“Guests will be able to board the ferry to head to The Wharf to enjoy a concert at the amphitheater, shop, eat, ride the Ferris Wheel, or take in the nightly laser light show along Main Street. A short three-minute walk from the Waterfront District is the sprawling six-acre amenity oasis deck with pool, waterslide complex, activity area, and poolside entertainment.”
The groundbreaking for Margaritaville Resort Orange Beach is scheduled for this Fall, with construction expected to begin in the Summer of 2025. It will be located where the Old Bama Bayou was on the Intracoastal Waterway.
