In the South, college football season is just about as sacred as any tradition.
Particularly in the SEC, some fans don’t care for weddings held on Saturdays in the fall interrupting an incredible slate of games.
Clearly, there are figures within President Trump’s cabinet who feel the same way.
In a hilarious clip, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio requested that President Donald Trump sign an Executive Order to ban fall weddings to make peak college football season less stressful.
“This thing about people getting married on Saturdays during college football season is a scourge Mr. President,” Rubio said to a huge laugh from Trump.
“It’s dividing families. I don’t know if we can have an executive order on this, but it’s really difficult. There’s seven other months that people can get married, so I just wanted to say that.”
Rubio went to the University of Florida, and surely he would love to be watching his Gators this fall instead of making cameos at the weddings of friends and family.
