Manufacture Alabama promotes Ricks, Salazar to leadership roles

Manufacture Alabama, the only trade association in the state dedicated exclusively to the full array of regulatory, operational and competitive interests of manufacturers, has announced two senior-level leadership positions will be filled within their own ranks.

Robin Ricks, previously Director of Special Programs and Workforce Development for the organization, will step up as Vice President of Policy and Advocacy.

Amanda Salazar, previously Director of Member Engagement, is now Vice President of Communications and Membership.

“Robin and Amanda both play critical roles in the success of manufacturing in our great state,” said Jon Barganier, Manufacture Alabama President and CEO. “I am confident that their contributions will support our ongoing efforts and commitment to making Alabama a place where manufacturing continues to thrive. Their promotions are a testament to the culture of excellence fostered within our association.”

Before joining Manufacture Alabama in 2019, Ricks held talent acquisition and human resources positions in the manufacturing sector. Since starting with the organization, she has managed the association’s policy and committee work. In her new role, she’ll advocate for Manufacture Alabama’s policy initiatives, support the interests of the manufacturing sector, and drive positive change within the industry. Ricks will also continue her role as the Executive Director of Girls Learning About Manufacturing, Inc.

Salazar also began her time with Manufacture Alabama in 2019. Since coming on board, she has played a large role in expanding membership and has also helped to set record-setting attendance at the organization’s hosted events. Her new role will be leading initiatives that strengthen the association’s internal and external communications, drive membership recruitment, and increase overall engagement with members.
