Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen announced Tuesday that he has secured the endorsement of 39 Republican members of the Alabama House of Representatives in his campaign for Lt. Governor of Alabama in 2026.

“I am grateful for the endorsement of so many conservative Republicans in the Alabama House of Representatives,” Secretary Allen said in a statement on Tuesday.
“Hailing from all over the state, many of these legislators have worked alongside me as we fought to protect Alabama’s conservative values. These are people who know me and my work ethic and my commitment to the State of Alabama. To have them support me publicly is greatly appreciated.”

Allen, 49, is a native of Troy and the son of State Sen. Gerald Allen (R-Tuscaloosa). He holds a master’s degree from Troy University and previously served as Pike County’s Probate Judge and as a member of the Alabama House himself.
The 2026 Alabama Republican Party primary election will be held May 19, 2026.
