Look: Auburn family rolls Toomer’s Corner after shocking victory over Georgia

(Auburn Football/X, YHN)

The Auburn Tigers won an absolute shocker on Saturday afternoon for the first signature victory of the Alex Golesh era, leaving Sanford Stadium on top for the first time since 2005.

With a 27-24 thriller that left the Athens crowd absolutely stunned, Golesh won over the fanbase and reminded the rest of the college football world just how special of a place this can be when Auburn is doing what it is capable of on the football field.

Less than 200 miles away, the party was on at Toomer’s Corner before the team arrived back and continued well into the night once the Tigers did pull back into town.

It has been a rough run of seasons for Auburn and this is the biggest victory for the program in the last decade, but Golesh would be the first to tell you that this is just the start of a run. He came to The Plains to deliver this school championships, and while he has a whole lot of work to do, this is certainly a heck of a start.

The Tigers are 4-2 with their entire season ahead of them, and with the LSU Tigers coming to town this week, it’s a game that all of the sudden looks very winnable.

Golesh has Auburn believing again, and in his first year, that’s more than anyone could have asked for.
