Longleaf Recovery & Wellness has announced the expansion of its Mental Health Wellness Program to the city of Huntsville and Baldwin County, marking a significant step in improving access to intensive outpatient care across Alabama.
The new locations will provide services that are typically difficult to access outside hospital settings, offering treatment options for individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and other mental health challenges.
“Far too many Alabamians go without adequate mental health care simply because the right level of support isn’t available,” said Colin Harris, CEO of Longleaf Recovery & Wellness. “Our programs meet people where they are—offering real clinical care without forcing them to leave their communities or pause their lives.”
Longleaf’s expanded programs include Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization (PHP) levels of care, creating a bridge between weekly therapy sessions and full inpatient treatment. These services include individual therapy, group counseling, psychiatric care, medication management, and personalized wellness planning.

Each facility is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of licensed professionals trained in trauma-informed care. The programs are designed to support emotional and psychological recovery while allowing clients to remain engaged with their work, families, and daily responsibilities.
With flexible scheduling and a focus on community-based care, the new centers in Huntsville and Baldwin County aim to address the growing demand for accessible mental health treatment in both North and South Alabama.
