Even amid the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Christmas spirit is shining perhaps brighter than ever in Alabama.
Mobile-based Fox 10 on Sunday reported about a local nine-year-old boy, Josh Cox, who reached into his own pockets this holiday season to brighten the lives of other Coastal Alabama children.
The outlet reported that Josh, a young entrepreneur, previously started his own party rental business at age eight.
Now, he reportedly is helping out with operations at his father’s trucking company and learning more about business — and life — along the way.
Josh told Fox 10 that his dad has instilled three core principles in him: “Keep God first, hard work pays off, never give up.”
That sage advice has clearly struck a cord, as he purchased a bicycle each for 10 boys and 10 girls ahead of Christmas.
The reason? Simple, explained Josh.
“Some families are less fortunate, and we just wanted to help out,” he remarked.
The Mobile boy already nicknamed “The Young CEO” is providing a positive example for Alabamians of all ages during this time of peace, joy and renewal.
