Katie Britt on Mark Zuckerberg: ‘I think he learned an important lesson the hard way and that’s that you can’t cancel Donald Trump’

U.S. Senator Katie Britt said Republicans have a renewed sense of hope for the future due to President-elect Donald Trump recent victory. The senator said that she had many conversations with family and friends over the Thanksgiving holiday about how Trump and Republicans are going to make America great again.

“[T]he theme in every one of those conversations was hope,” Britt (R-Montgomery) said Friday on Fox News. “It’s hope not only for tomorrow but hope for a brighter long-term future for our children. You know, it’s seems that people finally have resiliency back because they believe in our nation, and we’re seeing this, as just as you were talking with the speaker before me, other countries are realizing this as well. Donald Trump is bringing strength back to the White House and strength back to our nation, and it’s not going to happen on January 20. It’s happening today.”

Britt also commented on the fact that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently visited Trump at his home in Florida.

“Republicans are not only going to be on board but you’re going to find Democrats that are seeing the writing on the wall as well,” she argued. “Just as you mentioned, Mark Zuckerberg coming down to Mar-a-Lago, you know, I think he learned an important lesson the hard way and that’s that you can’t cancel Donald Trump. You can’t cancel conservatives either and our voices are going to be louder than ever starting on January 20. We’re going to get to work and get things done.”

Britt predicted that even some Democrats will vote for stronger border security because of Trump’s sweeping victory.

“Absolutely…they have to,” she said. “People know that a nation without a border isn’t a nation at all. We have seen our nation be overrun time and time again…People have said enough is enough. They’re sick of our leaders prioritizing others in front of Americans. So yes, they will have to cast that vote because Americans are expecting real results.”
