Katie Britt forces Democrats to vote against Kamala Harris’ false promises in Senate showdown

U.S. Senator Katie Britt took to the floor of the Senate Wednesday with Republican colleagues to clearly depict the hypocrisy of Democrats on a range of policy issues, from securing the southern border and stopping illegal immigration, to increasing domestic energy production and lowering costs for Americans.

“Today, we’re giving Senate Democrats a very clear choice,” Britt (R-Montgomery) said on the Senate floor before trying to pass several bills by unanimous consent.

“Now watch what happens next very closely. Let’s see how they answer these questions. Do they support building a border wall or will they block building a border wall? Do they want to spend taxpayer funds on keeping Americans and legal residents safe or do they want to keep those taxpayer funds funding illegal border crossers.”

Senate Democrats blocked her attempt to pass the Wall Act, which spends billions of dollars in funding for the border wall. She then tried to pass the Laken Riley Act, named after a nursing student killed by an illegal immigrant early this year, which would crack down on crime caused by illegal aliens. She also tried to pass legislation that would increase fracking in the country.

Britt is trying to force the issue because Vice President Kamala Harris has seemingly flip-flopped on the ideas when it comes to border security.

“Here we have today a fracking bill that has been put on the floor and yet blocked by the Democrats,” she said after the bills were blocked. “We have a bill here, just now, closing asylum loopholes, helping unaccompanied children get back to their family, but that’s been blocked by Democrats. Earlier you saw us put a bill on the floor that would help us build a barrier on the southern border, but yet that was blocked by Democrats.”
