Jalen Hurts gets a matching backpack for his ‘little biggest fan’

The Philadelphia Eagles have reportedly been “blown away” by rookie Jalen Hurts thus far on the practice field, but Hurts continues to shine even brighter outside the lines.

One young superfan recently got a backpack for the new school year with “Jalen Hurts” and “#2” embroidered on it, showing his love for the quarterback and the number Hurts wore while playing at the University of Alabama — the same number he will wear for the Eagles in the NFL this season.

The boy’s mom tweeted a picture of the backpack, tagging Hurts.

He subsequently saw the picture and took the time not only to respond, but to show his support for the young fan in a touching way.

Announcing that they are now “twins,” Hurts revealed this week that he custom ordered a matching backpack with the boy’s name, Alexander, on it.

Alexander’s mom soon responded with a picture of the boy and his “Jalen Hurts” backpack, along with Alexander holding a handwritten thank you to the player. Alexander’s older brother was also pictured, wearing the NFL jersey of former Auburn University star quarterback Cam Newton.

Saying Alexander is Hurts’ “little biggest fan,” the mom wrote that the quarterback had made the boy incredibly happy as he begins virtual school.
