‘It’s a disaster’: Tuberville on potential Biden replacement effort by Democrats

U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville didn’t mince words Sunday when asked about the prospect of Democrats pushing President Joe Biden aside as their party’s nominee ahead of the November 2024 general election.

“He doesn’t know what day it is,” said Tuberville (R-Auburn) on Fox’s Sunday Morning Futures. “It’s unfortunate for Joe Biden. He’s sick. Nobody can help that. People do get old. They do get sick. But this is all about the Democrats’ continuing to remain in power.”

“Kamala Harris will probably be the candidate running against Donald Trump. That will be very interesting.”

Tuberville said it’s clear who is in charge of the White House now that Joe Biden’s incapacitation is common knowledge to the American people.

“Well, we have all known Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi and Obama’s been running the country, along with Blinken and Sullivan out of the White House. They have been making all the decisions. Joe Biden hasn’t been making decisions. He might have [in the] first year had some say-so about what’s going on, but he’s been out of it since after the first year in office.”

“You can tell by Schumer’s actions, Pelosi’s actions the first two years. They were calling the shots,” said Tuberville. So, hopefully, people understand that. They have had total control, not the president, but Schumer and Pelosi and all the deep state.”

The Senator revealed that Republicans are stepping back and plan on letting Democrats self destruct amidst the political chaos.

“I don’t know who they’d pick,” he said. “We’re just going to stay out of their way and let them cut their own throats, to be honest with you.”

“It’s a disaster.”

A growing number of high-profile Democrats are expressing desperation to replace the aging President, fearing a potential doomsday scenario on Election Day. Despite the growing calls within his own party to drop out, Biden has indicated that he fully intends to stay in the race till its conclusion.
