A Jefferson County couple is grateful to be completely unharmed after a tree fell on their home and a branch pierced through their roof in the bedroom just feet from where the resident was sleeping:
A scary moment for a couple in Jefferson County this morning.
Loreleigh Harper woke up to find a branch piercing through the ceiling just feet away from her. Her fiancé, Sean Schubert came running into the room when he heard the loud crash. Both are grateful no one was hurt. pic.twitter.com/g0x8J7NIpi

Sean Schubert and his fiancé Loreleigh Harper, who just moved into their house two months ago, are to be married a few months from now and shared how grateful they were after the close call.
“I believe that God was watching over me, I had an angel on my shoulders because it could have been 100, 1000 percent worse than it was,” Harper told ABC 33/40.
Schubert said that he is just happy his fiancé is safe and that the damage to the roof does not matter in contrast.
“I’m happy she’s safe. We get married here in a few months. I already refer her to her as my wife, so my wife is alright,” said Schubert.
Roof damage can be fixed, but it was certainly an eye-opening experience for the couple of how dangerous the weather in the Yellowhammer State can get even when in the house.
