Hubbard to Speak Alongside National Conservative Leaders in DC

Congressman Tim Scott Revitalizing America: Encouraging Entrepreneurship Conference

Alabama House Speaker Mike Hubbard will join national business and political leaders next week as a featured panelist at Congressman Tim Scott’s Encouraging Entrepreneurship Conference. Steve Forbes, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Domino’s Pizza CEO Patrick Doyle, and House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp are a few of the other notable speakers on the conference’s lineup.

The conference, which takes place in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., is the first in Congressman Scott’s Revitalizing America series and it aims to be a “meeting of the minds” between entrepreneurs and top policy makers.

“The goal of the conference is to encourage a meaningful dialogue between entrepreneurs, business leaders, job creators and policy makers that will allow our small businesses to do what they do best: create jobs and grow the economy,” Congressman Scott said. Conference topics will include taxes, regulation, health care, entrepreneurship and more.

Speaker Hubbard will deliver remarks outlining his experience in both the private sector and government before joining several other business leaders and members of Congress in a panel discussion titled “Entrepreneurship in Government.”

Congressman Scott is widely considered a rising star who could end up on a national ticket some day. In POLITICO’s list of Freshman Class Superlatives, Scott was named “Most likely to be a vice presidential candidate/become governor or senator/leave it all behind to become a motivational speaker.” Hubbard and Scott met last year in Montgomery when the Congressman flew in for a speaking engagement and their offices have kept in touch since.
