The Alabama Crimson Tide is sitting at 8-2 with two games remaining in the season in what has been a logjam of an SEC season.
Barring absolute chaos in the last two weeks, it appears the two teams that are going to represent the conference in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta is going to be decided by a tie breaker.
Assuming Texas and Texas A&M both enter their massive showdown next week without suffering a loss this week, the winner of the game in College Station will be one half of the conference title game.
Texas faces Kentucky this week with the Aggies face a road test at Auburn.
If the Crimson Tide can handle their business over the next two weeks against Oklahoma on the road and an Iron Bowl at home, they will have the inside track toward the second spot.

In a confusing, and seemingly silly, tie breaker scenario, it will come down to opponent conferences’ winning percentage. Therefore, Alabama would need the Missouri Tigers — who they defeated 34-0 several weeks ago — to win just one of their final two games.
Missouri faces Mississippi State on the road this week as roughly a touchdown favorite, and if they lose they will have another shot to help the Tide next week at home against Arkansas.
Things still need to play out, but for those who want Alabama to play in the SEC Championship, it’s looking pretty good.
