Two Alabama organizations, Helios Alliance and the Poarch Band of Creek Indians, are combining their efforts to fight the opioid epidemic spiraling throughout the state.
“We are truly honored to join forces with the Helios Alliance in our shared mission to combat the opioid crisis and resulting problems associated with drug addiction,” said Stephanie A. Bryan, chair & CEO of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians. “We believe that our mutual commitment to the well-being of all Alabamians, coupled with a shared determination to pursue innovative solutions to this complicated and heartbreaking problem, can have a significant, positive impact on our communities.”
To combat the epidemic, the organizations will both bring their own specialties to the table. Helios will contribute its expertise in public health and addiction solutions and the Poarch Band will continue its tradition of contributing to community well-being.
Helios Alliance is a non-profit organization that fosters collaborations to drive positive change in public health. By uniting leaders, experts, and communities, Helios Alliance said it aims to address pressing health challenges and create healthier societies.
