‘Graceland of NASCAR’: Bobby Allison’s Hueytown home, property for sale

If you wanted to own a piece of NASCAR history, here’s the opportunity.

The Hueytown home and property of NASCAR legend Bobby Allison is officially on the market.

The property is owned by his daughter Bonnie, who has decided to sell it.

“There are so many different aspects that set this property apart from anything else on the market. Not only currently but historically,” said Realtor Kelly Reaves. “This property has never before been for sale to the public so it truly is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

“The history is well documented with the rich NASCAR history and the legends that literally grew up there. Bobby Allison now lives in North Carolina. His daughter Bonnie will be the last Allison to own the property. It is the end of an era for what to so many is the Graceland of NASCAR.”

Reaves discussed some of the more unusual technology found within the home.

“From a more technical perspective, the property is also incredibly unique. The home itself has a myriad of really cool quirky custom touches,” he said. “I have been in real estate since 1996 and I have never seen a push button built-in automatic blender. That would have basically been like living in the Jetsons’ home as a kid.”

He said the home and property could be ideal for certain buyers.

“It would be perfect for anyone needing room to house automotive collections, large machinery, or someone who needs space for restorations, hobbies, and tons of shop space,” Reaves said. All of this and a private spring fed lake well stocked with bass and bream.

“The buyer, like the property, will be very unique, not just someone looking for a starter home or looking to downsize. This property has always been home to a lot of family and a lot of activity.”

The home and property combined are approximately 17,000 square feet and feature residences, workshops, offices, garage bays, and storage and utility units, among other amenities.
