Alabama’s Republican congressional delegation once again criticized the Biden administration’s border policies after a report revealed around 2,200 people illegally entered Texas from Mexico in just one night.
BREAKING: One of the largest mass illegal crossings we have ever seen took place in Eagle Pass, TX this morning, w/ Border Patrol sources telling us over 2,200 people crossed there since midnight. It happened right next to the port of entry, as illegal immigrants continue to… pic.twitter.com/NDFX17r4vU

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) reacted to the report saying, “The Biden Administration says that everything is under control. This is not under control. Our southern border is in crisis.”
The Biden Administration says that everything is under control. This is not under control.
Our southern border is in crisis. https://t.co/9MNG73a7Pv

Palmer was referring to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas saying the border was under “operational control” during a hearing this year.
U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) also called out the administration over failing to secure the border.
This is not operational control. https://t.co/8nk19wrmBH

U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) said this is just another example of Biden “pouring fuel on the fire.”
For the second consecutive fiscal year, the U.S. is on track to break the all-time record of encounters at the southern border.
But the Biden Administration just wants to continue pouring fuel on the fire. https://t.co/3pv6TstLIj

U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) used the report as a call to action to “secure the border now.”
. @JoeBiden continues to allow his border crisis to break records and there are no signs of stopping.
We need to secure our border now. https://t.co/Y0btRCdZ7a

Tuberville and Britt also joined 25 of their Senate colleagues today in introducing the Secure the Border Act, the Senate’s companion bill to the House of Representatives’ H.R. 2.
