Gary Palmer: ‘Accountability is here for the Biden crime family’

U.S. Rep. Gary Palmer (R-Hoover) thinks there’s more than enough evidence to justify the impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden.

Earlier this week the House voted 221-212 in support of the impeachment inquiry into whether Biden improperly benefited from his son’s foreign business dealings. The vote occurred shortly after Hunter Biden refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.

Palmer discussed the impeachment investigation Friday on News Nation:

“Well I think it will open a whole new avenue for us to investigate in term of getting access to documents that we otherwise wouldn’t be able to get our hands on,” Palmer said. “And I think that’s the proper course to take. I’m a firm believer in due process and I think we ought to go where the evidence leads. And the evidence has led us to the impeachment inquiry.”

The congressman hit back against Democrats arguing that there’s no evidence implicating the president in any wrongdoing.

“Well I think it’s pretty obvious that if there was no evidence than there would be no reason for President Biden to lie continually about knowledge of what Hunter Biden was doing,” he said. “His involvement with Biden and his interaction with Hunter Biden and his business associates and the people he was involved with in terms of all the dignitaries and business people.

“If there was nothing to see, then there would have been no reason to lie about.”

Palmer said Hunter Biden most likely will be held in contempt of Congress over his actions this past week.

“At a minimum he could have come in and taken the fifth on every question, but he didn’t,” he argued. “In terms of contempt of Congress, I think what he did is he showed contempt of the American people. I honestly believe they think the American people are too dumb to understand what’s going on here. But if the polls are any indication, they’re not fooling anyone.”

He didn’t definitively confirm if this will escalate to impeachment articles being levied against the president.

“I don’t know,” he said. “In every situation we’ve been in and every investigation we’ve done, we need to go where the evidence leads us. I don’t believe in political prosecutions. I think that’s wrong. I thought what they did to President Trump was a travesty and will be a dark mark in America’s history. You should only go where the evidence leads you.”
