Alabama Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth is celebrating the news that the U.S. Space Command Headquarters is officially coming to Huntsville.
U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Saks), who chairs the House Armed Services Committee, announced this week that, “space command will officially be assigned to build its headquarters in Huntsville,” in April once the Secretary of the Air Force is confirmed by the U.S. Senate
Ainsworth said this is great news — and condemned the Biden administration for not getting this accomplished sooner.
This is awesome and great news for Alabama. https://t.co/IbVc8ww0e7

“The announcement that Space Command is coming to its rightful home in Huntsville is welcome news but comes four years too late because Joe Biden put pandering and politics ahead of our national defense needs,” Ainsworth argued.
“Three different independent reports and impartial assessments have all agreed that Huntsville is the ideal headquarters for protecting our nation’s interests in space.”
