Florida State quarterback trash talks Tide ahead of week one showdown

The Alabama Crimson Tide is faced with an interesting challenge kicking off the 2025 season when they head to Tallahassee for a true road game against an unpredictable Florida State Seminoles team.

One year after an undefeated regular season that saw the Seminoles controversially left out of the College Football Playoff, Mike Norvell’s team was absolutely abysmal and finished with a record of 2-10.

Now trying to pick up the pieces and get back to contention, Florida State has a new quarterback in former Boston College signal-caller Thomas Castellanos.

Castellanos is clearly entering the game against Alabama with a ton of confidence, possibly too much.

“I’m excited, man,” Castellanos began to On3. “People, I don’t know if they know, but you go back and watch every first game that I played in, we always start fast. I dreamed of moments like this. I dreamed of playing against Alabama. They don’t have Nick Saban to save them. I just don’t see them stopping me.”

If Alabama was not already fired up to face Florida State and get the season started, they certainly will be now.

Should the Tide do what many expect it to do in Tallahassee, Castellanos could wind up looking pretty foolish here.
