EA Sports found itself at the center of the college football media news cycle last year when the gaming giant announced the release of the first licensed college football video game in over a decade, College Football 25.
One year later after the massively successful release of the game, EA is preparing to drop not only this year’s edition but also the basketball version of the video game as well. It’s big news given that the last time a College Basketball game was released by EA was all the way back in 2009.

According to a memo from EA shared by Matt Brown, fans are unfortunately going to have to wait until 2028 before they can play with their favorite basketball players, but nonetheless this is an absolutely massive development for hoops fans and gamers alike.
