It’s a little bit of heaven on earth. Heavenly harpists of the future are bringing their music of today to Mobile on Sunday, October 4th.
‘Dreams on Golden Strings’ will be performed at 3 p.m. at Kingswood Church, 5200 Perin Road in Mobile. Admission is free, and an optional Freewill Donation will be taken up at the close. A reception follows.
The performance is by the Central Gulf Coast Harp Society, which includes harpists from Panama City, Florida to Ocean Springs, Mississippi. North to South, harpists are from Selma to Mobile.
The occasion brings to mind the words of Charles Spurgeon:
“Think of what you are, you Christians. You are God’s children; you are joint-heirs with Christ. … The ‘many mansions’ are for you; the palms and harps of the glorified are for you. You have a share in all that Christ has, and is, and shall be.”
