Donald Trump to make Alabama return, set to hold Birmingham rally in June

Former President Donald Trump is set to make his return to the Yellowhammer State this summer, according to the America Freedom Tour website.

The rally will be held at an undetermined venue in Birmingham on June 18. The event will take place from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Ticket prices range from $2,995 for presidential section seating to $25 for general admission.

The event will feature prominent conservative figures in the likes of Donald Trump, Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, Dinesh D’Souza, Sheriff Mark Lamb and others.

Alabama Media Group first reported the event.

The rally announcement comes as the two frontrunners in Alabama’s U.S. Senate race are vying for the former president’s endorsement. U.S. Army veteran Mike Durant and former Business Council of Alabama head Katie Britt are in contention for Trump’s endorsement after he dropped his support of U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) last month.

Trump’s return to Alabama comes three days prior to the anticipated June 21, 2022, primary runoff election.

The June rally will mark the 45th president’s second post-White House visit to Alabama. Trump’s last Yellowhammer State rally came in August 2021, where around 50,000 attendees packed the fields of York Family Farms in Cullman.
