DeBoer’s final word on homecoming festivities: ‘The fun for us comes in winning’

The Alabama Crimson Tide is getting ready to host the Missouri Tigers for homecoming in a game that like every game for the remainder of the regular season if the team wants to make the College Football Playoff is a must win.

Coming off two losses in the last three games and no convincing performances since the victory over Georgia — a game that now feels like it was ages ago – the Tide is desperate for a dominant performance. In his final word on this week’s edition of ‘Hey Coach’, head coach Kalen DeBoer talked about the excitement of homecoming but also knows that his team has a job to do.

“We’re excited to be back at Bryant-Denny, and it’s homecoming. We wanna do our part to have all the people that are coming back to have their reunions and celebrations to make it a great weekend,” DeBoer said. “For us, it’s the hard work that goes into what a lot of people would call fun, but the fun for us comes in winning and celebrating afterwards.”

“The work that’s going in is there right now, I can promise you that. The guys are determined…they certainly understand the areas and have really been focused on the areas that we need to improve on and are motivated to be the best they can and play the best football they’ve played all year.”
