Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide have pulled off a major recruiting victory on Tuesday afternoon and might have just landed who could be their quarterback of the future a couple years down the line.
As first reported by Hayes Fawcett of On3, Alabama has landed the pledge of now former Iowa State Cyclones pledge in four-star quarterback Jett Thomalla.

Thomalla is rated as a top-15 quarterback in the class of 2026 and becomes just the seventh commitment in the group for Alabama as well as the first quarterback.
The tall gunslinger hails from Omaha, Nebraska, where he is rated as the top overall player in the state for his class.
Though they may try to sign another, there is less urgency at this point given the fact that Keelon Russell arrives in this year’s class and is likely to be in Tuscaloosa as the starter for the next several years.
Russell had a massive rise up recruiting boards coming off a spectacular senior season in which he was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Texas for powerhouse Duncanville after committing to Alabama roughly this exact same time last year.
Now Thomalla will try to do the same, and he certainly will have more eyes on him nationally in his final high school season after changing his pledge to the Crimson Tide.
DeBoer and his staff have been trending positively for a number of prospects over the last several weeks, and this likely is not going to be the last recruiting victory for Alabama over the coming days.
