Bo Scarbrough announced his retirement last week in a press conference with the Birmingham Stallions.
Scarbrough, who was at Alabama from 2014-2017, is a two-time national champion (2015, 2017) as well as a two-time USFL champion with the Stallions, who went back-to-back the last two seasons.
He was a huge part of the Stallions 2022 championship run, rushing for 135 yards and a touchdown on just 13 carries in Birmingham’s 33-30 victory over the Philadelphia Stars.
After Scarbrough left Alabama, he had a four year NFL career on four different teams after being selected in the 7th round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys.
As I move on from playing football my next step is to get into player development and help young athletes to be smart moving forward and how to carry themselves and be respectful to everyone cause yu never know who you may be talking to. So player development is next for me

A Tuscaloosa native, Scarbrough was the No. 16 overall recruit in the class of 2014, according to 247Composite rankings.
“It’s very hard for me to walk away from this game, but I’m walking away with my head held high, knowing that I have done some great things, been around a lot of great people,” Scarbrough said.
“I have so much respect for the people that are still playing. But, you know, when it’s your time, you’ll know it’s your time.”
