The University of Alabama’s football team is getting it done both on and off the field, according to a post shared by the program’s official social media account.
The Crimson Tide managed to set a team record in the classroom this past semester, notching the highest overall team Grade Point Average (GPA) in the program’s history at 3.29.

Per the post, the academic progress rate of 998 is the highest in the SEC and the second highest in the entire country. There are 103 Crimson Tide players who had a GPA this semester of 3.0 or better, a truly incredible figure considering the rigors that come with being a student athlete in a top program.
Head Coach Kalen DeBoer is clearly placing a major emphasis on the classroom as well as the football field, and the players are buying in.
