Two individuals were arrested on Tuesday after an agent with the Attorney General’s office was threatened with firearms while serving a bond revocation warrant in Montgomery.
The threat forced the agent to call for assistance, resulting in a large-scale response from multiple law enforcement agencies.
The suspects, a man and woman, were reportedly confronted by officers from the Montgomery Police Department and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
According to the Attorney General’s office, upon the arrival of the additional authorities, the man ran into a home and out of the back door.
Officers pursued him, and after a “brief standoff” in a backyard on E. Second Street featuring the deployment of less-than-lethal munitions, the suspect was taken into custody.
The man has been charged with menacing and attempting to elude, while the woman had outstanding warrants signed on her for menacing.
The suspects remain unidentified.
