Club for Growth PAC poll: Brooks 35%, Durant 30%, Britt 25%

The contest for the Republican nomination in Alabama’s U.S. Senate race has all the makings of a true horserace according to a recently released poll from Club for Growth PAC, the political action committee of Washington, D.C.-based Club for Growth.

According to a poll conducted by WPA Intelligence on behalf of Club for Growth PAC January 25-27, U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) maintains a five-point lead over Mike Durant and a 10-point lead over former Business Council of Alabama head Katie Britt.

Club for Growth endorsed Brooks in June 2020 and has already spent big in the early stages of this primary election cycle.

The survey of 513 respondents showed Brooks at 35%, Durant at 30% and Britt at 25%. An additional 10% of the respondents are categorized as “undecided.”

The poll also showed a high level of unawareness of former President Donald Trump’s endorsement of Brooks last year, with only 42% of respondents aware and 58% unaware.
