Christmas at the Falls is underway at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, illuminating one of North Alabama’s most popular outdoor destinations with millions of Christmas lights, festive displays, and family-friendly attractions.

The seasonal event runs through Jan. 3, 2026, with the park closed on Dec. 24 and 25. Guests may enter during their selected time slot and remain in the park until closing at 10 p.m.

Visitors can explore paved walking paths lined with millions of Christmas lights while enjoying holiday decorations and themed displays throughout the park. Guests can also take in the lights aboard the park’s train, which is included with general admission.

Christmas at the Falls is hosted by Noccalula Falls Park in partnership with the City of Gadsden and is designed as an all-ages event. Santa Claus is available for visits through Dec. 23.

Food vendors are on site during the event, though guests are encouraged to bring cash, as some vendors may not accept credit or debit cards.

Tickets for Christmas at the Falls are sold online only. General admission is $12 per person Monday through Thursday and $18 per person Friday through Sunday. Children ages 3 and under are admitted free and do not require a ticket. Admission includes a train ride.

An Express Train Pass is also available for $10 per day and covers two people. The pass allows guests to bypass the general train line. Only 25 express passes are sold per hour, with four bench seats per train reserved for express pass holders.

Pets are not permitted at the Falls during Christmas, except on Dec. 2 and Jan. 2, or if they are registered service animals. Pets are not allowed on the train or in animal habitat areas.

The park also offers a combo ticket that includes admission to both Christmas at the Falls and Christmas on the Coosa, the ice-skating rink along the Coosa River in downtown Gadsden. Christmas on the Coosa runs through Dec. 23.

With Christmas week approaching, Christmas at the Falls continues to offer families and visitors a chance to experience one of North Alabama’s signature holiday traditions before the season comes to a close in early January.
