Casey Wardynski, retired U.S. Army colonel and Republican candidate for Alabama’s open fifth congressional district seat, on Wednesday released his campaign’s third television advertisement of the 2022 GOP primary election cycle.
Titled “Plain Wrong,” the 30-second spot takes on multiple cultural topics. The candidate’s message opens with an image of transgender swimmer Lia Thomas before speaking to Wardynski’s efforts as Huntsville City Schools superintendent to address issues surrounding transgender students.
Wardynski’s latest TV ad also highlights his positions regarding Critical Race Theory, abortion, gun rights and illegal immigration.
“Biden’s America is disconnected from reality. I’m Casey Wardynski. As superintendent, I stopped boys from entering girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms because it was wrong,” the candidate says in the ad. “I ended Critical Race Theory in the Army. I changed Army rules to the military could build President Trump’s wall. And more needs to be done. I’ll end federal funding for Planned Parenthood, stop the liberal gun-grab and fight the swamp — just like I did as president Trump’s assistant secretary of the Army.”
