The Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama (ABC of Alabama) announced their endorsement this week of Caroleene Dobson in her bid to become the state’s newest congressional representative. The political newcomer is hoping to win Alabama’s recently redrawn second district.
“Caroleene has consistently shown that she understands the needs of our industry and is willing to roll up her sleeves and work towards solutions,” ABC of Alabama Chairman Mark Mattox said. “We are happy to endorse and support her candidacy because we believe that she represents the change that we need in Washington.”
ABC of Alabama President Jay Reed also offered praise for Dobson.
“Caroleene is the kind of young and forward-thinking leader that the state of Alabama needs,” he said. “Our members believe she is the best person to represent their interest in Congress.”
Dobson extended her gratitude for the support and emphasized that two of her top priorities if elected, will be supporting the expansion of domestic energy and lowering rising costs in the construction industry.
“The Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama is a first-class organization that does an outstanding job representing its members’ interests at the state and federal levels. I am honored to have their endorsement and support.”
“Over the last four years, the Biden-Harris Administration policies have fueled inflation in almost every sector of our economy. In Congress, my primary focus will be combating inflation and unleashing American energy. Our goal should not be energy independence but energy dominance.”
Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama represents the state’s construction industry, which creates 200,000 jobs and accounts for 5% of the state’s economic output.
