Every year around the beginning of June, the list of nominees for the College Football Hall of Fame is released, but this year, two former Alabama and Auburn legends are making their first and second appearances on the ballot.
It also just so happens that they both won Heisman trophies as well as national titles in back-to-back years.

Mark Ingram II headlines the Tide ballot for the second year in a row, alongside former legendary linebacker and current Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans.
For Auburn, 2010 Heisman winner and national champion quarterback Cam Newton is making his first appearance on the ballot despite being eligible since 2021. Newton is one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of college football, but in this sport, it often takes many years for players to find their way into the hall. He joins former Tigers head coach and current U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) as well as linebacker Takeo Spikes — both of whom were on the ballot last year.
The entire ballot of players and coaches can be viewed here.
