‘Bulls**t’: Tuberville says ‘pro-crime’ Dems want ‘reparation’ for criminals

Remarks made by U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) during former President Donald Trump’s rally in Nevada on Saturday sparked fierce reaction from left-wing media.

During the rally, which was held on behalf of former Nevada Attorney General Adam Laxalt’s senatorial campaign, Tuberville lamented what he asserted to be the Democratic Party’s inaction on crime.

“I have never seen like the crime in this country. We all grew up respecting the police, our moral values, doing what we can to help law enforcement in this country,” said Tuberville. “The Democratic Party — they have a majority — they can stop this crime today.”

Declaring Democrats to be “pro-crime,” Tuberville suggested the party sought “reparation” for individuals that committed offenses against the law.

“Some people say, ‘Well, they’re soft on crime.’ No. They’re not soft on crime. They’re pro-crime. They want crime,” he said. “They want crime because they want to take over what you’ve got. They want to control what you have. They want reparation because they think the people that do the crime are owed that. Bulls**t! They are not owed that.”

Democrats seek to “control” the citizenry through fear of crime, said Tuberville.

“We have to understand what’s going on,” he continued. “Folks, what’s going on is the takeover from underneath our country from the people from behind the scenes to create such havoc on our streets that we’re afraid to go outside — that they can control us. They can stop it today. They don’t want to do it.”

The senator’s comments were met with immense backlash from left-leaning media pundits, who alleged that his remarks were used as a dog whistle to target Black Americans.

Instate liberal opinion writers, al(dot)com’s Kyle Whitmire and Alabama Political Reporter’s Josh Moon, alleged that Tuberville’s comments were “racist.”

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough and former news anchor Dan Rather also opined on Tuberville’s comments. Former pro-segregation Govs. George Wallace and Lester Maddox would be “proud” of Alabama’s junior senator, claimed Scarborough.
