Bruce Pearl lands big-time recruit for Auburn’s 2024 class

Auburn basketball fans got some big news today with Bruce Pearl securing a massive recruiting win for the Tiger basketball program this morning.

4-star forward Jahki Howard out of Atlanta is the second commitment to the 2024 class for Pearl, joining New Jersey 5-star guard Tahaad Pettiford.

Howard is ranked as the No. 76 overall player in the nation for his class as well as the No. 8 overall player in the state of Georgia according to 247 Composite rankings.

He stands at 6’6″ and weighs 185 pounds.

Howard is described as an athletic wing, an explosive high-flyer, and has even been called “the best dunker in high school basketball.” Check out what Auburn is getting in the four-star here:

Auburn fans should be extremely excited at the thought of adding a player like Howard to its class. He seems to be a high-ceiling prospect with a high motor on both ends of the floor.

He is described as someone who has made great strides in his game and seems to be improving rapidly at exactly the right time. Howard chose Bruce Pearl and the Auburn Tigers over offers from Arkansas, Arizona State, and Georgia Tech.

Basketball in the Yellowhammer State continues to heat up, as both Bruce Pearl and Nate Oats keep bringing in elite talent and make the two programs extremely competitive in the SEC.
