Nationally-renowned construction company, Brasfield & Gorrie has a legacy of success in both Alabama and throughout the country. The firm recently celebrated its 60th anniversary in business and released a short holiday-themed video celebrating its lasting impact on customers and employees.
The spot, entitled ‘It’s a Wonderful Company’, featured Miller Gorrie, the company’s founder. In it, he reflects on the company’s accomplishments and receives guidance from his ‘guardian angel.’
“In the months after our 60th anniversary, something just wasn’t feeling right,” said Gorrie in the opening of the video. “Sure, the company’s made it this far, but have we really made a difference? Are we improving communities and changing lives?”

“Is Brasfield and Gorrie really leaving a legacy? Maybe starting this company was a mistake. Maybe we should have all done something else.”
His angel, named Juan, then appears and reassures Gorrie of the company’s significance, especially to its employees.
“Everyone who’s come and gone from Brasfield & Gorrie, they could have done anything. But they chose to work here because they believe in this place and what it stands for. They know that when they all work as a team, one company, as you like to say, that’s when the magic happens. ”
“And after all these years, you’ve done so much great work together.”
Brasfield & Gorrie’s annual revenue in 2023 was $5,834 billion. The contractor has over 4,000 employees and is involved in more than 220 projects in 17 states. The firm has completed several notable projects including Protective Stadium, City Walk BHAM, Grandview Medical Center, and the Pizitz building and parking deck renovations.
