WASHINGTON — BL Harbert International of Birmingham has been awarded a contract by the Navy to build an electrical power plant in Djibouti.
According to a news release from the Department of Defense, the $203,926,827 a firm-fixed-price contract was awarded by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, Atlantic, Norfolk, Va.
The work at Camp Lemonnier in Djibouti includes building an electrical power plant with ancillary support facilities, fuel storage, and connections to the existing distribution system, the release said.
The project is expected to be completed by August 2028.
