Birmingham, Alabama has become the official U.S. tourism partner of the English soccer club Birmingham City FC. The team’s partnership with the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau, the city’s official tourism and marketing organization, will last until May 2027.
The Blues compete in the EFL League One, which sits just below the Premier League in the English Football League system. The club recently inked a sponsorship with Delta Airlines and welcomed Tom Brady to its ownership group.
“We are delighted to welcome the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau to the Blues alliance,” said Jeremy Dale, interim Chief Executive Officer of Birmingham City FC. “We share more than a name. We both have bold ambitions and the desire to make a statement on the global stage. Through this partnership, we can help each other achieve our goals.”
