The board of directors for ProgressPAC, the Business Council of Alabama’s (BCA) political arm, has endorsed two candidates vying for respective seats in the Alabama House of Representatives.
ProgressPAC endorsed Ben Robbins in House District 33, a seat formerly held by the late State Rep. Ron Johnson (R-Sylacauga). They also endorsed Russell Bedsole in House District 49, a seat vacated by the resignation of State Rep. April Weaver (R-Brierfield).
Both Robbins and Bedsole are Republicans running in special elections. Bedsole recently won a competitive primary runoff in HD-49, and Robbins is running unopposed in the October 6 primary in HD-33.
“Ben Robbins and Russell Bedsole are dedicated to serving the people of our state. They support a strong educational system, improving infrastructure, and encouraging economic development throughout Alabama,” stated Gary Smith, ProgressPAC board of directors chairman. “They believe in the business community and the jobs it creates. ProgressPAC is proud to endorse these candidates in their upcoming elections.”
The Alabama House District 33 special general election is scheduled for January 19.
The House District 49 special general election will take place on November 17.
