Nearly 70 scholarships are available to Alabama community college students to train for careers in the state’s robust automotive manufacturing industry.
The scholarships were formed through a partnership between the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).
Students enrolled in a community college program associated with automotive manufacturing careers may apply for the $4,000 scholarships, according to the ACCS.
Students with at least a 2.5 GPA may apply for the scholarship. Additional information regarding scholarship details can be found at dreamitdoitalabama.com/aama/. The deadline to apply is Nov. 7.
Scholarship awardees may use the funds during the spring, summer, or fall semesters to purchase tuition, books, and fees associated with the approved program.
A full submission for the scholarship requires the following:
- Completed application
- Completion of a new orientation course to the automotive industry and AAMA scholarship
- One signed reference letter
- An unofficial college or high school transcript
- A headshot photo

- Mechatronics
- Automated manufacturing technology
- Industrial electronics technology
- Industrial maintenance technology
- Manufacturing technology
- Injection molding
- Machining/machine tool/CNC
- Welding technology
- Automotive service technology
- Engineering technology
- Mechanical design technology
- Logistics
