The Automobile Dealers Association of Alabama, which represents more than 300 franchised new car and truck dealers across the state, has endorsed Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall in his campaign for the U.S. Senate.
The support from ADAA adds to a growing list of business and industry groups backing Marshall’s candidacy.
“Steve Marshall is a proven fighter for Alabama and has stood up for us when we’ve needed him most. He understands what drives Alabama’s economy — and our auto industry’s critical role in it,” said Tom Dart, president of the Automobile Dealers Association of Alabama.
“Steve has proven he’ll fight for our state and against burdensome government regulations that threaten jobs and innovation. He knows that Alabama’s growth depends on practical, workable policies — not one-size-fits-all mandates from Washington. Steve Marshall will represent our industry well in the U.S. Senate, and we’re proud to stand behind him.”
Marshall said he was honored to receive the group’s endorsement. “Alabama’s car and truck dealers are cornerstones of our state’s economy and our communities. I am humbled by their endorsement and grateful for their support. I am committed to advancing commonsense, pro-growth economic policies and fighting against the regulations and federal overreach that stifle job creators like car dealers and small businesses,” Marshall said.
Marshall has also secured endorsements from the Alabama Farmers Federation (ALFA), the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama, and more than 50 district attorneys and sheriffs across the state.
