Auto manufacturers, community colleges team up for scholarship program

Alabama community college students interested in the automotive manufacturing industry can apply for scholarships worth up to $4,000.

The new scholarships are made possible through a partnership between the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association and the Alabama Community College System.

Interested high school seniors, residents interested in attending college, and college students with at least a 2.5 GPA can apply and find more information at www.dreamitdoitalabama.com/aama/.

Students may use the scholarships for spring, summer, or fall 2024 tuition, books, and fees.

Automotive programs eligible for the scholarships are mechatronics, automated manufacturing technology, industrial electronics technology, industrial maintenance technology, manufacturing technology, machining/machine tool/CNC, automotive service technology, and engineering technology.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 14.
