Sara Franklin was diagnosed with Epilepsy in the midst of raising a child, being a wife and pursuing a successful career. When she found out she had this new disease, she had a choice: hide from it, or fight it with everything she had. Sara chose to turn her pain into purpose and became executive director at the Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama. Her story is powerful and it shows that our perspective can have a huge impact on the situations we face daily.
