Before the transfer portal came along, it was nearly impossible to see a player in any sport transfer directly from one rival to another.
But in today’s day and age of college athletics, that reality might not be too far off.
Former Auburn 5-star guard Aden Holloway, who was a McDonald’s All-American and consensus top-20 player in the class of 2023, is reportedly going to be taking a visit to Alabama after entering the transfer portal last week:

Holloway showed some flashes in his freshman year, but overall did not necessarily live up to the billing in terms of being a superstar impact player.
During his freshman campaign, Holloway averaged 7.3 points per game, 1.5 rebounds per game, and 2.7 assists per game all while shooting just over 30 percent from the three point line.
He was held scoreless in 13 minutes of action during Auburn’s shocking defeat to Yale in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Holloway feels a change of scenery would be in his best interest, and now Nate Oats and the Alabama Crimson Tide are among those vying for his services.
