Auburn Tigers icon Suni Lee hears ‘War Eagle’ at the Olympics, responds with fist pump

The Auburn fanbase is extremely wide reaching, so it’s no surprise Tiger fans made the trip all the way to the Paris Olympics this summer.

That’s exactly what happened as Team USA competed for gold in the team gymnastics competition. Auburn icon Suni Lee, who starred on The Plains for two years, heard a fan in the crowd shout “War Eagle!”, to which she turned and responded with a fist pump:

Lee and teammates Simone Biles, Jada Carey, Jordan Chiles and Hezley Rivera helped to lead the United States to the gold medal in the women’s team final over seven other countries.

A user on X published a video of themselves cheering on Lee with an Auburn flag and representing the Tigers all the way in Paris as well:

Paris is nearly 4,500 miles from Auburn. But that didn’t stop some Tiger super fans from making the trip and making sure they were heard loud and proud cheering on the school, and the gymnast, they love.
