Auburn Tigers superstar golfer Jackson Koivun has had a year to remember.
Fresh off one of the best seasons in the history of collegiate golf in which he became the first player ever to claim all four of the the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award, Ben Hogan Award and Phil Mickelson Award while leading the Tigers to a national title, Koivun is getting it done on a sponsor’s exemption in PGA events as well.
With a stellar showing this past weekend at the Wyndham Championship, Koivun was able to finish tied for fifth place to earn his spot in the first PGA event this coming fall:
The No. 1 amateur in the world birdies the last to move into a tie for fifth!

Koivun finished in a tie for sixth at the ISCO Championship in July and a week earlier in a tie for 11th at the John Deere Classic.
The No. 1 ranked amateur in the world at the moment, Koivun is going to be a superstar on the PGA Tour sooner rather than later. For now, he is going to get his focus back to taking Auburn back to glory, however him joining the tour is an inevitable and forthcoming reality.
Whether he has an AU logo on his shirt or not though, Koivun clearly is going to make Tigers fans on The Plains proud for a very long time.
