HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Andrew Ziroli and Patricia Forrest knew soon after they got engaged that they didn’t Pinterest-perfect pictures to celebrate their upcoming nuptials. So, to have a little fun, they went to a thrift store, bought some cheesy retro duds, and posed with photographer Vic Vergara.
Soon a friend convinced them to upload the hilarious photos to Imgur, from there they were posted on Reddit, and poof: viral magic.
“Andrew surprised me because he usually hates getting his picture taken,” said Forrest. “But as soon as he put on that mustache, the rest was history.”
Much to her mother’s happiness, Forrest said they also got more traditional and “serious” engagement photos made, but those have gotten almost no attention.

These pictures aren’t the first out-of-the-ordinary thing Forrest has done. Vergara has previously photographed her swallowing swords.
“She used to do fire eating and sword swallowing so I’ve taken pics of her doing that,” said Vergara. “I said, ‘Let’s just play and do something different.’”
