Alabama tumbles to No. 15 in the AP Poll, lowest ranking since 2010

The Alabama Crimson Tide has taken a nosedive in the AP Poll over the last three weeks, going from No. 1 in the country after their victory over Georgia to the lowest ranking they have had in 14 years since 2010.

Things are moving in the wrong direction as Alabama moved from No. 1 to No. 7 following the loss to Vanderbilt, somehow held there after the close win over South Carolina, but dropped the additional eight spots coming off the loss against Tennessee.

What’s perhaps most incredible about how low the Tide is ranked is that the team is no longer even ranked as a top-five SEC team. All of Georgia (No. 2), Texas (No. 5), Tennessee (No. 7), LSU (No. 8), and Texas A&M (No. 14) are rated ahead of Alabama — making for a truly jaw dropping and sobering reality for Tide fans.

In other news, there’s a new No. 1 in the poll as the Oregon Ducks benefitted from the Texas loss to Georgia — and while the Bulldogs climbed back into the top two — they still sit just one behind Oregon.

As the losses continue to pile up for all the top teams, a chaotic finish is starting to take shape during the final month of the college football season.
