Alabama State Trooper Association hosting charity golf tournament in support of officers facing cancer-related challenges

The Alabama State Trooper Association (ASTA) is stepping up to support two of its own as they face the challenges of cancer, either personally or as caregivers for loved ones.

To help ease the financial burden, ASTA will host a charity golf tournament on June 11 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Capitol Hill in Prattville. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the troopers’ families.

The ASTA announced the tournament in a Facebook post.

“This is more than just a game—it’s a chance to come together as a community and show our support for our fellow colleagues during this difficult time,” the group wrote. “Whether you’re an avid golfer or just want to make a difference, we hope you will join us!”

Registration closes May 16, and those interested in participating are encouraged to sign up soon.
