Alabama star Ryan Williams on his humble nature: ‘I always keep an attitude of gratitude’

The Alabama Crimson Tide clearly have one of the biggest stars in the country in rising sophomore wide receiver Ryan Williams.

Williams burst onto the scene last year as just a 17-year-old quickly became one of the standout players on the team. Headed into his second year in Tuscaloosa, expectations are extremely high for the young Williams as he tries to find his way.

Williams was speaking in a media availability and when he was asked about his mindset, he gave an extremely thought provoking answer.

“I always keep an attitude of gratitude,” Williams said.

“The reason that I’m always humble is because I’ve been on the other side of it. There’s been times where I’ve been at the highest of the highs and something like an injury can bring you down to ground zero…With the base that’s behind me, my family, the staff, my brothers around here, we keep each other in check and keep that level head. In order for us to do what we want to do, you can’t be great without the greatness of others.”

Williams is going to try to build on his sensational freshman year with an even bigger second season, and if Alabama has any hope of doing what they want to do in 2025, he’s going to be at the absolute center of things.
